Real Time Worlds, the Scottish games studio which includes many of the ex DMA Design employees, has just been signed to develop exclusive titles for the new Xbox.

The company includes Dave Jones, founder of DMA and creator of GTA and Lemmings, as well as others who worked on games such as Donkey Kong Country.

As I'm sure you all remember, Real Time Worlds doesn't actually have a title in publication yet, but their only title, All Points Bulletin (GTA style online game) is set to be published by Webzen in early 2007.

I for one will be very interested to see what RTW churn out for the Xbox. Let's hope they create another GTA rather than another Lemmings though (bloody game).

The DMA History Site is being created by Mike Daily who was part of DMA for about the first ten years and provides and interesting insight into DMA and the games industry at the time.  He also set up a DMA Message Boards where he has posted original level designs for Lemmings and some of the very, very first prototypes of GTA1.  It's unofficial and a bit amateurish but that's sort of its charm. smile

From what I have read, APB seems to be the massively-online game that GTA fans have been clamouring for since GTA3 got released with no multiplayer whatsoever.  I wonder if R* will steer of multiplayer in GTA4 to avoid direct competition with APB?
