We would like to keep the signal-to-noise ratio as high as possible. So please follow these guidelines:

 - Put the mission name in bold at the start of your post, this will make it easier to find missions and to search for mission advice.
 - Please do not respond to other people's tips. If you don't like someone's tip, just post your own version.
 - Do not post questions or requests in this thread.
 - You can post multiple mission guides in one post.

Missions tips can be anything like a complete walkthrough of a mission, a useful tip or a guide to completing the side missions.

Please see the other San Andreas threads for Questions, Tricks and Observations.

Thank you.

The Green Sabre
Once you reach Sweet and watch the quick cutscene, you can blow up the cars around him and he won't die, so you can use them as fairly invincible shields. Long as you aren't killed in the initial explosion before you can duck behind them. Remember also that some cars explode twice. confused

Turf Wars - General Tips
Two words - Vantage Points. It's no good having Hitman skills and 150 body armor if you're just standing out in the street between two hordes of rampaging Mexicans. A number of areas provide strategic vantage points that can be as simple as a sizeable grade in the road that serves as a makeshift trench.

Also remember that armor/health powerups can be found at the rival gang wave's spawn points.

Vigilante
All this requires is a Cop Cycle (as I call it), a shitload of MP5 ammo - Hitman skills preferred, and a knowledge of where the hell all those cop stars are. Do the math. smile Try to keep yourself under three wanted stars. Some cars actually have their gas tanks in the BACK, such as the Glendale. confused Keep your distance with some of the other suspects though, their shotgun skills are mad accurate.

Vigilante (update)

Another thing about Vigilante missions, it's (still) easier to do them in a Hunter.

Only 2 places I know (so far) where you can get a Hunter:

- One in San Fiero, Easter Basin Naval Base. Easier to go to it by boat and get out and go up the steps, should be there almost right in front of you. WARNING! You get a 5 star wanted level (drops to 4 with me after a minute or so) by going into the base. With this, you'll see about 2 helicopters come at you and a Hydra (a VTOL attack aircraft, identical to the Harrier!), and the Hydra IS stupid. If you get it right, he'll fly into mountains and what not and boom! Start Vigilante mode and for some reason you're invincible from their rockets etc  confused

- Purchase the abandoned airstrip in Verdant Meadows (for $80,000) when you can access Las Venturas and get all golds in the aircraft tests (very easy). If you get all gold, it'll spawn next to the hangar with the shed of an aircraft (can't remember name) and you'll get shit loads of piloting XP (all silver gets you the stunt plane, press R3 to release red smoke!).

Anyway, once you start the Vigilante missions, it seems your Hunter is invincible (as I got hit by a Hydra's rockets like 8 or 9 times and I didn't blow up). Best place to do this is on the bridge between LV and SF (the bridge right on the west of the map) as most of the time you just travel back and forth.

Get past level 12 and you get 150 armour, but you also get a stack load of money. At level 20 Vigilante, you get $20,000 and every level after that, the money keeps going up. I went up to about level 57 (lots of money!) and then I went on a mass-buying spree, and I still have about $600,000 left!

Of course, being able to go to all areas helps with the missions smile

Gray Imports
This one's from AggroSk8r's FAQ in GameFAQs. When you begin to chase the arms dealer, sprint past him, dodging bullets all the way to the yard where you started from. Hop in the Banshee provided and run the bastard over. smile

    Key to Her Heart
Theres an easier way to get the keycard after you do this mission..

Its a really cruel thing to do, but once you take Millie on a date, you dont have to keep dating her to get the key card.. just take her out on a date, but drive to a secluded place where there arent any cops or people, and then kill her. You wont be able to target her automaticaly so youll have to hold R1 and aim at her manualy, then just shoot her till she dies.

After she is dead, stand around for a minute and Woozie will call, asking about the keycard... Carl will explain that Millie is dead, and Woozie will tell you to break into her house and get the card.. then all you have to do is drive back to her house and walk into the yellow marker, the front door is wide open.. go in, the key card will be in there on the floor, you can just take it and leave without any problems. tounge

    Pier 69

Take out the guys from the roof, as instructed, then when you're told to go down and take out T-Bone instead of going through the middle of the pier, just nip down the right hand side. You avoid the entire fight, first person you meet is T-Bone at the end. A bit cheesy, but saves effort.

    Driving School Tips
When completing Burn & Lap, try to pull the handbrake 180s so close to the inner cones on the first lap that the Banshee just 'rub-nudges' them away a little bit. For some reason the game doesn't count it as a damage penalty unless it makes the crash sound and/or your car takes damage.

Beat 36 seconds to earn Gold.

    Vertical Bird

After obtaining the Hydra from the carrier, try flying under the Garver Bridge and the rail bridge.  Instead of moving the thrust from vertical to horizontal, try hovering above the water just north of the Garver Bridge.  If the computer controlled Hydras don't crash into the nearby mountain, the bridges can catch at least two of the planes.

Yeah, thats a hard one.. was the hardest one out of all of them for me. I did this same trick. it even put a big dent in the door but somehow didnt count as damage... was weird. biggrin

You can also blow up the first two hydras you come to in the ship, and steal the furthest one down at the end.. then only one hydra should come after you instead of all three. (though once I had one of the destroyed ones manage to still take off.. it can be buggy.)

Heres a different tip, I'll edit this post instead of posting again.. (sorry for not thinking of that earlier biggrin )

        Toreno's Last Flight

Are you sick of chasing that stupid helicopter while cops are shooting you, only to miss your shot and you have to chase it again? Well.. get rid of that clunky antique rocket launcher, and you dont have to chase it at all!

Get the heat seeking rocket launcher from the airport in San Fiero before you start the mission.. the airport isnt open yet so youll have to park a car next to the gate house to climb up and over it. You may want to save after you get it, in case you mess up. Go start the mission, head towards the helipad and kill all the guys that shoot at you on the ground level.. once theyre all gone, get out the heat seeker and head up the stairs to the helipad. After the helicopter takes off and the scene ends, when you have control again quickly turn and aim for the helicopter.. you should have just enough time for the target to turn red, then fire the rocket and watch it chase that helicopter down and blow it to bits... mission passed!
