I have a clear tutorial to follow for editing, however I cannot follow it because the texture panel is white untill I click on something and then I can see the texture, but not forever. As soon as the browser scrolls the texture turns white again.
As you can imagine this has severely hampered my attempts at learning how to edit GTA2, any suggestions?

This happens to everyone using the map editor in Windows XP. The editor works best in Windows 98. Delfi, Sektor or Pyro might have found a way to improve this, though.

I keep away from the map editor and just make scripts for existing maps.

Map makers just live with the white tile problem or they use Windows 98.  Perhaps you could install 98 in a virtual machine but it would have to be one that supported 3D.

If i install 98 I cant use the network or the internet, and I dont have neough space to create a partition.... I suppose I'll just have to wait untill I have a new PC.

Is there a place to download custom maps?

you only need like 500mb for win98... you can make it dualboot if your primary partition is fat32. or just buy a cheap 1-4 gb hdd to run win98 off it, alternatively you can just live with a little glitched up gta2 map editor.

How do I find out what my partition is?
The glitch is hardly small, I cant see the damn textures :( are they grouped in some way? If so knowing that would help :)

you can see the textures if you click on them and dragging on the list helps to paint so you can see the whole page.

I suppose I'll have to wait, or memorise the texture numbers...
