First ever unwrapping attempt is a grade A success! Fucking well happy. Props to endo and Augh for their advice, and FlashG for the tute link he sent me. Huge milestone for myself, I'm well happy.

Now to Photoshop in some details etc.

SInce you have a nice model and an unwrapped skin how about a competition? That way the 2d people can have a dig ;)

wow, something is still going on in 3D... Nice model of a pretty boring car, Dup, and a really good unwrapping job, I wish I could do that this clean. You work in 3D Studio Max, right? Should get back to work on 3D stuff too.

A skinning compo would be nice, please do it!

Same endo that made the AE86? This is a great looking model you have, how many polys is it? Maybe we should have a 3d car comp as well, see if anyone else can make great 3d cars  wink Nice lowering job by the way.

The wheels look about three times as wide as they should be, imho. Apart from that it's a very clean mesh.  GTASA can handle a lot of polygons and most PCs are a lot faster than when GTA3 came out. As long as you keep the collision mesh simple and don't go overboard with the interior, it should run pretty well. If you could optimise the wheels that would help performance.

I havn't done any proper setups for FF vehicles in GTASA, so I can't give you any pointers if you want to set it up for that. The standard Blista or Club setups should suit it fairly well, though. yes

I'm loving those reflection maps. Can't wait to see more developed shots of the tail end.
