Deleted Member	Ok, in GTA 1 and 2 you can replace the sounds, I heard. And now Rockstar Games make it so you cant change the sounds in GTA III/Vice City/SA .... omg. Rockstar games RUINED modding completely. Now you cant mod as good because you cant change the sounds, so you end up with a hot air balloon making a helicopter sound. And you need to be able to change the way someone gets in a certain vehicle. What you could end up with is a hot air balloon, not only making stupid helicopter sound, but also when you get in you get in through the side of the hot air balloon. You need to make it so you climb in not go through the walls. Is it possible? A simple answer: No. modding is ruined

I think there is a version of GTA Wave (possibly version 4?) which can extract sounds from GTA3 (and possibly GTAVC) but I can't remember the details. It is possible but you need a lot of software to do it. Ask at GTA Forums in the Editing Discussion area; someone there might know. You could do some searches there to see if it has been discussed before (it probably has been). You can change the sounds, it's just a bit more difficult than before. They are in an obscure audio format which is then archived in a weird archive format. I think there is a version of GTA Wave (possibly version 4?) which can extract sounds from GTA3 (and possibly GTAVC) but I can't remember the details.

It is possible but you need a lot of software to do it. Ask at GTA Forums in the Editing Discussion area; someone there might know. You could do some searches there to see if it has been discussed before (it probably has been).

The site has been running alright today but it was down for a while yesterday.
