Mad::Matt Insert funny title. Joined::Jul '03 Posts::666	Well, we had one for VC so we might as well have one for SA. Couple of things I have noticed/ found: The last mission that you do for Big Smoke is called Just Buisness, the last part of this mission involves riding with BS through the Los Santos drainage system, chased by gangsters, a truck smashes through part of the bridge running overhead, exactly in the style of Terminator 2. Pretty cool. The wide array of cars that can be modified is huge, from sports cars to 4x4's they can all be done. (Please note, use NOS in a Perrenial sparingly, they wern't meant to travel at those speeds). Please add more as you find them. ------------------

Well, we had one for VC so we might as well have one for SA.

Couple of things I have noticed/ found:

The last mission that you do for Big Smoke is called Just Buisness, the last part of this mission involves riding with BS through the Los Santos drainage system, chased by gangsters, a truck smashes through part of the bridge running overhead, exactly in the style of Terminator 2. Pretty cool.

The wide array of cars that can be modified is huge, from sports cars to 4x4's they can all be done. (Please note, use NOS in a Perrenial sparingly, they wern't meant to travel at those speeds).

Please add more as you find them.

Joined::Jul '03 Posts::666	Also in the mission "Madd Doggs Ryhmes" is R*'s answer to the "Timmy Vermicelli" guys in Driver 3: one of the guys is playing a computer game and says "Damn Refractions (Reflections) they really messed up, Tanner, you suck ass". ------------------

Pyro GTA2 Scripter & Mapper Joined: Jun '03 Posts: 247	A few things I picked up on are these: - The guy from GTA3 makes an appearance in one of the missions (can't remember name), and you have to race against him. The girlfriend (Catalina, who you date first before she dumps you) is also the one from GTA3 as well. Win the race, and they'll say there off to Liberty City with the car. - Go ontop of the huge mountain to find a parachute. Run and jump off, do what comes naturally (use it as a weapon). As a note, its a ONE OFF - Recruiting your own gang is cool enough, but they are also smart enough to bail from cars if you go into water (jut incase some ppl didn't know) - You get to make your own kick-ass garage! Woo hoo! - Artic lorries make an appearance and actually work! - The Packer (car transporter) can now carry cars (2 I think). Lowering the top ramp when a car is on the bottom ramp equals car going boom (supposedly). - 2 player mode is in it (free roam around the city). I found 2 areas, one with your girlfriend (Denise) after a while and one close by, where you can choose your character from about 4-5 skins. It's actually supposed to be a woman (as it says 'Press L1 to kiss'), but I heard the police helicopter will say somethithng like "Get that girl! Holy shit! It's a man!". 2 controllers needed, but you can both jump in the same car (you CAN'T go in seperate), as well as 2 gang members. You need the gangers to get in FIRST then the 2nd player. All your ammo is copied to P2 for them to use (except armour). If P1 or P2 dies, it says mission failed, but you respawn outside your girlfriends house (or the other place) with all your weapons intact. Even if you used all your AK-47 ammo and then died, you still keep your old amount of ammo. Excellent for scouting - You can hi-jack trains (finally). Only seen 2 types, the 'Freight' and the 'Brownstar'. - You can de-rail the trains going at high speed (I found this out after about 10 mins of playing the game first time). - 'Wang Cars' makes a re-appearance (check GTA2 second level) - Drug dealers (wear a hat, black tank top, gold chain etc) stand around in various places and will talk to you. If you shoot them, they'll shoot back with a pistol, so a shotgun close up is good for the job, he'll drop anywhere between $1000 and about $2500 and a pistol. Best places (and easiest) are between Denise's house (in the lay-by or close by) and next to the Johnson House. Easy money if you need some extra cash. - Tractors and Towtrucks have working tow hitches on the back allowing you to pick up other cars. I did this with 6 tow-trucks towing each other and towing a bus. I think if you trash one car (as in, make it blow up), the whole chain blows up. - One mission you drive a combine harvester with working bail maker. Works good in the fields, works better with people (and farmers who get in your way). Phew, that's all I can think of! Also, can someone remind me on how to do steal from peoples houses again? I kind of forgot to read the brief after the mission. Vehicle name would be handy as well, and how to start it and good places to go. How can you customise OTHER vehicles other than low-riders? Do you have to get CJ's garage up and running? (I'm about halfway through its missions atm). I have UK version if thats applies at all. A few things I picked up on are these:

How can you customise OTHER vehicles other than low-riders? Do you have to get CJ's garage up and running? (I'm about halfway through its missions atm). I have UK version if thats applies at all.

"Transfenders" is the name. There are three locations:

1. Los Santos, West of Downtown / North East of Rodeo.

2. San Fiero, across the street and due North of CJ's Garage, near the Pay'N'Spray.

3. Las Ventura, East of the 4 Dragons Casino approx. 3 blocks [past AmmuNation].

The symbol on the in-game map is a Red Wrench. I had originally thought that the color [Red] denoted that it was unusable at the time, this is not the case. I believe they can be accessed from the beginning.

Additionally, there is "Arch-Angels", which mod's only street racing cars [found only in San Fierro and Las Ventura] to be located on the Northern end of the "Hippy" Buro of San Fierro, whose name escapes me now. It is unlocked after completing some of the 'Wang Cars' missions.

You need a specific [black] version of the moving truck, found in Los Santos south-west of the Johnson Home in the blue Apartment Complex [from the Johnson home, head down the street, take a left onto the first street you come upon, and head straight south until you see the blue apartments ahead of you. Between two of the buildings due West of your current position is the vehicle].

Apparently this truck can be found elsewhere [ie, San Fierro / Las Ventura], but I do not know of the location(s).

Wow! Haven't seen you around for ages!

Anyway yes, aeroplanes have a habit of exploding and crashing, one crashed into Mount Chiliad when I was up there and one exploded and fell out of the sky on top of me in the middle of Los Santos.
I also had the misfortune to be skydiving and got "run over" in mid air by a crop duster.

(you know the missions where you have to use the same car the whole time..) Also on a related topic, hydraulics seem much better now, they just seem more fluid and smooth. Also the camera now is looking up at the car from a very low angle now when you are doing the deed with a hooker. It was weird before when you could look in the car and see nameless (gta3) and tommy (vc) and the hooker just sitting in their respective seats looking staright ahead.

Cars are not longer so easy to land on the roof. This is really helpful. It always was a real pain in the ass to have to re-do a mission that you almost had complete just because you hit a bump funny and your car rolled on the roof. (you know the missions where you have to use the same car the whole time..)

Also on a related topic, hydraulics seem much better now, they just seem more fluid and smooth.

Now you have limited time and therefore limited time to make money and fit in progression in missions. Therefore you have to balance things out because you will need to have money in yoru pocket for pay n' sprays and guns and other neccesities. Its the first 'real life' feeling Ive gotten from a game that hasnt made me want to stop playing(like in MMOs.) Sorry for the long rant and I hope I didnt get off topic too much, I just feel like the 'economy' is better this time around.

So you just ended up with a buttload of money and nothing to do with it, it was the same in the 2d games too, the money acted more as a score not actually a currency. Because of the fact that there is so much to do and quite a few of these things need to be constantly kept up with (holding down gang territories, eating, working out, ect.) Now you have limited time and therefore limited time to make money and fit in progression in missions. Therefore you have to balance things out because you will need to have money in yoru pocket for pay n' sprays and guns and other neccesities. Its the first 'real life' feeling Ive gotten from a game that hasnt made me want to stop playing(like in MMOs.)

Sorry for the long rant and I hope I didnt get off topic too much, I just feel like the 'economy' is better this time around.
