1. What is IceyBoard?
IceyBoard is a mesage board system compromised of PHP scripts and a MySQL database. It's exclusive to GOURANGA! and is written by Icey.

2. Which characters are allowed in usernames?
IceyBoard allows all characters except "<", ">" and "\". This is basically to block html and stop some problems with PHP. In the future these characters may be available.

3. I am banned, what does this mean?
If you do something that an administrator or moderator doesn't like, such as posting unwanted topics or harrassing members you may be banned. You will not be able to post topics/post replies or vote in any topics. If you've been temporarily banned you should wait until your sentence is over. We very rarely reverse permanent bans, so you should wait at least a few months before thinking about returning. If you decided your mature enough to rejoin the community, send a message to the person who banned you and they will make a decision.

4. Can I use HTML in messages?
HTML is not allowed in messages, but there is a code system that you can use. More information is available in the help section of the forum.

5. How can I be an administrator or moderator?
If the people managing the board want some extra help you could offer your services. You will be expected to help with problems, remove any offensive topics/posts and deal with any complaints that members may have.

6. What information is available about the cookies?
IceyBoard uses a cookie to store your name and password only. You can delete the cookie at any time by logging out.

7. Can I see the cookies you have stored about me?
Your browser should allow you to see the cookies. In Firefox, go to 'Tools', 'Options', 'Privacy', expand the 'Cookies' view and click on 'View Cookies'

8. I'm being hassled by another member, what can I do?
Find an administrator or moderator from the members page and send them a private message explaining the problem. They will be able to ban anyone causing problems and resolve the situation.

9. Can I show the latest topics on my site?
The latest topics can be found in the XML file. There is a link an the end of every page. You can choose to get topics from the whole forum or just one forum. You can also choose how many to show.
You will need a script on your site that can access this file. Please dont access it more than once every thirty minutes.

10. Is there a news feed of the latest posts available?
Yes, go to the main page and click 'Latest Posts Feed'

11. Can I send a message to one person?
You can use the private message system for sending to one or multiple people.

12. Can I write a theme?
The themes use normal CSS files which are easily editable and can be seen by viewing the source of any page on the forum. If you want to create a theme you should save a few pages to your computer and try editing the css until you are happy with it. Each theme has different pictures, such as a title and post icons. The name of your theme should be contained as a comment on the top line of your css file.

13. Can I delete my account?
Yes, go to the edit profile page and click the button near the end to delete your account.

14. My account was deleted, can I get it back?
Send an e-mail to icey and it will be restored. If you deleted your account and selected not to store the settings on the server you will be given your account back with the default settings.

15. What browser is the board tested in?
The board is tested in Firefox. You can use any major browser to access the board. If you're not using Internet Explorer you'll be able to access some additional features.
